USA Today music critic Elysa Gardner took part in an online chat with readers on Tuesday, and was asked her opinion about the hopes for the Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC to find success after extended breaks, or whether their time is up. “That’s the question we’ve been asking forever, isn’t it,” she asked. “I don’t know; with *NSYNC’s most prominent members, [Justin Timberlake] and [JC Chasez], getting recognized as mature solo artists, I don’t know that *NSYNC will be able to do their thing full force.
