The San Francisco Chronicle caught up with Esthero for a Q&A and asked the singer, who has released ‘Wikked Lil’ Grrrls’ seven years after her ‘Breath From Another’ debut, if the rumors of breakdowns were true. “I definitely had my own struggles, but it was just about trying to find my way and find my sound,” she said. “There was a point when I didn’t want to write or do anything. I wanted to take time off and be a hook girl. … I wanted to be that girl who sang hooks on everybody else’s sh** and got paid and had no ego. I didn’t want to be in charge.” Read more.
