Extortion Claim In Darren Hayes Racial Abuse Case
The Sunday Telegraph’s Insider reports that when they called a member of staff at the Thai eatery in London where Darren Hayes was arrested for an alleged racial remarks against a waiter, he told the paper, “I’ll tell you what happened for 100,000 pounds. He (Hayes) was here to dine and then the incident happened. He was very upset.” The ex-Savage Garden singer’s former manager John Woodruff said, “I know the guy really well, and this wouldn’t be the first time that somebody has tried to extract money from him.”
