Following her quickie wedding and annulment to childhood pal Jason Alexander, The Daily Star claims Britney Spears’ record label Jive wants the singer to talk to alcohol abuse counselors before setting off to promote her new single ‘Toxic’, so they’ve put back its release to March 1st. “Anything Britney does musically at the moment will be overshadowed by the furor over her marriage and her lifestyle,” the source told the British tabloid. “We need the fuss to die down before she can release the single, and she needs to get her head together so she can do that.” Britney reportedly agreed to counseling sessions after breaking down in tears during a trip back to her Kentwood home for a recent family reunion.
