Former MandyMoore.Com message board moderator Jon (bills50000), infamous for his questioned visit to Mandy Moore’s home in 2001, presented pop singer Vanessa Carlton, among other things, a cucumber for her 22nd birthday. While backstage at her NY show, a part of her tour with the Goo Goo Dolls and Third Eye Blind going on through September, with fellow extreme Vanessa fanatics Mike, Kevin, and Nicole, the cucumber was given to her by Jon with a smile. “Oh my God! That’s so funny! I’ve gotta show this to my fans,” the surprised Vanessa responded. She later proceeded to bring the cucumber on stage with her as she sang her first song of the set, her latest song, C’est La Vie.
When discussed on the VanessaCarlton.Com message board, a fan explains, “We’re sure she can find *some* use for it!” We hope it didn’t go beyond a salad.
