Gene Stout of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer was on hand at the Avril Lavigne concert Monday night at the Tacoma Dome before a crowd of 12,000. Stout says, “The 18-year-old Canadian rock star, cultivating a PG-rated punk image, delivered a tight 75-minute set crammed with songs from her debut album, ‘Let Go.’ Fans ate it up, clapping, cheering and stamping their feet for the sassy young star who’s been dubbed ‘the Britney slayer’ for knocking Britney Spears down a notch.” Read more.
