Busted has reached a huge level of fame in the UK, but Owen Doyle, who claims to be a founding member along with pal Ki Fitzgerald, are forced to watch the band’s success from the sidelines with added lead singer Charlie Simpson. Owen scrimps and saves, rides on public transport, lives on what he calls a “dodgy” estate, plays a $80 piano bought by his dad – and still dreams of stardom. Owen insisted he and Ki were Busted’s founding members and auditioned James Bourne and Matt Jay after Ki came up with the band’s name. He said, “The only ones who know that are us, our families and Busted’s manager Richard Rashman.”
