Actress Gabrielle Union addressed her good-hearted “obsession” with Janet Jackson and also defended her passionately on the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn. After she went on about how her first concert was Janet’s ‘Rhythm Nation’ tour, Craig asked her about a comment she made about Janet being ostracized and unfairly judged by the media in an article following the Superbowl scandal. Union said: “Janet’s one of my favorites – she’s still as amazing as she was years ago. I respect her and I feel as though she was a scapegoat for all of the lewd things that have been airing for years. People so suddenly forgot she was active in many charities that most celebrities don’t even look in to. They forgot she was a humanitarian and gave as much as she received. She’s done nothing but bring happiness to so many people’s lives and they’ve got nothing better to do, so I guess they decided to take her down. But you know, it must’ve been a lovely breast to get so much attention.” After brief applause from the audience, Kilborn agreed jokingly: “Oh, there’s no doubt about that. But Justin Timberlake left that breast hanging, didn’t he?” Union didn’t catch onto the joke, turning serious again: “He’s not a minority and he’s a man. He easily got away with it.”
