Gareth Gates Switches Crush From Rachel To Britney

Pop Idol runner-up Gareth Gates tells Top Of The Pops magazine he’s over his crush on S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens, but admits to having a “soft spot” for Britney Spears. Gates revealed, “I have to say I’m over Rachel now – I’ve moved on. Not in a nasty way, it’s just that it was a crush when I was younger.
