Garth Brooks Tops Shakira & Britney Efforts

Garth Brooks landed the top spot for sales last week in the Soundscan music charts with sales of 465,000 copies of ‘Scarecrow’. Britney Spears’ album dropped a spot to #2 with 336,000 in sales while Shakira’s debut ‘Laundry Service’ got #3 with 202,000 sales. Madonna’s greatest hits album didn’t fare well at all selling around 150,000 copies, putting it at #7 and behind Michael Jackson’s ‘Invincible’ at #4 and Enrique Iglesias’ Escape at #6.
