Gavin DeGraw Discusses Uganda, ‘Free’ On ‘Today’
‘Today’ show co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford talk to singer/songwriter Gavin DeGraw about his recent trip to a refugee camp in Uganda and his new album ‘Free’. “This particular record, I didn’t want to sit around and try to perfect it,” DeGraw said of the CD recorded in two weeks. “What I wanted to do is more importantly capture the discovery elements of the performances. Putting together musicians who I didn’t typically play with, who were fabulous musicians, who I heard of, who I met before, who I respected, and all of us sort of find our way on this recording.” Watch the segment, aired Monday (April 20), below.
