Beat.com.au spoke with KISS guitarist Gene Simmons on whether he thinks today’s top pop acts will have 30-year careers like his band and The Rolling Stones. Simmons replied, “At the end of the day the only thing that matters is – of the people, for the people, by the people. If the people like it, then that’s the end of it. You and I could sit on the sidelines and say ‘ah yes, but it doesn’t last for 30 years’ and ‘ah yes, but it’s not like my music’. I’m a big fan of Brittney Spears and *NSYNC and anyone that does what they do well.”
