“She has confided in a few of us that she will base herself in Los Angeles from the start of the next year,” revealed a source on the TV show Pop Idol Rivals, where Geri currently serves as a judge. “Geri has made it clear that she wants to spend more time with Damian. She called him over from America because she missed him like hell. Now she’s decided she wants to spend tons of quality time with him.”

Popstars Judges Storm Off Set After Huge Bust-Up

August 10, 2002 – News of the World reports Popstars judges Geri Halliwell and Louis Walsh stormed off the set of the auditions after a huge bust-up with Pete Waterman. Seems the trouble brewed when Louis gave grief about Pete’s discovery of Steps, while Pete returned the jabs on Louis being the brainchild of Westlife.

August 7, 2002 – The Sun reports former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has helped reunite a lost child with his frantic parents. Ginger Spice spotted two-year-old George Illingworth after he wandered away from a beach carnival near Torquay, Devon. “I was so relieved to see George I didn’t notice it was Geri with him at first,” the boy’s father Peter said. “Then I recognized her and I was amazed. She said she was glad we had George back safe and well.”
