Sky News reports Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy has been told she was not “above the law” at her trial for racial assault. The 20-year-old pop star is accused of punching a black nightclub toilet attendant. The jury was told Tweedy had experienced a few weeks of “meteoric success” and was “full of her own self-importance” on the night she allegedly punched Sophie Amogbokpa. The trial has been adjourned until Monday, when the jury is expected to retire. Read more.
