Go-Go’s Wiedlin Comments On Britney’s Joan Jett Cover

Spin magazine spoke with Go-Go’s guitarist & vocalist Jane Wiedlin for her comments on modern acts doing covers of 80′s songs including Britney Spears cover of the 1981 Joan Jett hit, ‘I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll’. Wiedlin said, “Britney is fine, but it’s really hard to outdo Joan. I’m not sure Britney really loves rock ‘n’ roll. Do you think she goes to Slayer or Pantera concerts with her boyfriend from *NSYNC? She should have done Joan’s song ‘Cherry Bomb’ instead, because doesn’t she still have hers?”
