Have you ever wondered how many gossips and rumors an artist such as Mariah has had to face during her life?. Mariah Carey has been seriously attacked by media, in some cases, rumors have been negative for her career.
In the beginning of her career, Mariah was criticized because she married Thomas Mottola, president of Columbia Records at that moment. Some foreign press affirmed that Mariah was the reason why Mottola and his ex-wife broke up. What many people who have read this story don’t know, is that Mottola divorced in 1987, he met Mariah in 1989, and he married her in 1993. This marriage came with other gossip, press said that Mariah was so successful because she had all the support because she was married to the president of Sony Music, and that he only paid attention to his young wife. These rumors were fading when Mariah Carey divorced and her albums were still selling millions.
In addition, Mariah was seriously attacked in 1999, when some media published a Mariah Carey saying that she would love to be as skinny as those children in poor areas of Africa, but without all the flies. This gossip was too hard, and a few weeks after the nonsense article, people knew the truth…the article was false.
Other many gossip have been spreading through the years. For example, in 1999 Mariah married Mexican singer Luis Miguel. A few months ago I was watching TV and the reporter said: “Did you know that some icons do some weird things. For example, did you know that Mariah Carey doesn’t use stairs, she is a diva and she always asks her body guards for help” In 2001 Mariah said bad things about Mottola’s new wife, and many other gossips and lies.
However, the hardest gossips came out in 2001, when media affirmed that Mariah tried to suicide because she realized that her single ‘Loverboy’ was not doing so well, and that Luis Miguel was not part of her life anymore. During 2001, press also said that Mariah was alcoholic, she used drugs, and that she was getting crazy. These are the hardest gossip in her career because a painful lie is always uncomfortable and sad.
There are hundreds of rumors and gossips, some of them are just silly; other ones are evil and they can really affect anyone. When we hear another silly story; let’s not repeat it, that’s how everything starts, and let’s not forget Mariah Carey is someone who feels and who can gets hurt easily, she is a sensitive human being not a cartoon without feelings such as Mickey Mouse; So don’t believe everything you hear.

Help Mariah Carey By BUYING Her Releases Instead Of Basking In Lost Glory. Buy her releases, CDs and watch her movies instead of yakking, yakking, yakking…by doing that maybe you’ll help the poor woman back on top and get THROUGH THAT RAIN which never seem to end.
I do buy her CD’s and I own “WiseGirl’s” on DVD I also have all her Concerts. Mariah’s sales are doing great considering she got hardly any Radio Support for the Single that came of her New Album “Charmbracelet”. The only problem Mariah has right now is the Media and Radio but it will come to pass just like it did for Madonna, Cher etc. All the Icon’s go through a hard time at some point!
It’s over for Mariah, she’s had to many flops in a row. Every single since Loverboy has been a huge bomb. She’s had so many flop singles after Loverboy it’s hard to keep count. Actually Loverboy was a big flop at radio it just did ok on Billboard cause the single was discounted for 49 cents at almost every record chain. This way of cheating to get a good chart position doesn’t work for Mariah anymore since single sales don’t count for much on the Billboard Hot 100.
Actually she has had her Alum debuted at #3 and her Duet with Busta Rhymes “I Know What You Want” peaked at #3 on the Hot 100 on Air-Play alone. Plus the Dance Mix of “Through The Rain” went to #1 on Billboard’s Dance/Club Chart’s and The Dance Mix of “Bring On The Heartbreak” was a Top 5 Hit on the Dance/club chart’s as well. On to “Loverboy” it was only reduce to 49 cent’s because her Ex-Husband reduced Destiny’s Child’s Single for like 30 cent’s so Mariah’s Label had to do something, that had nothing to do with Mariah. Plus Loverboy broke into the Top 40 before the Single was released and Song’s like Christina’s “Dirrty” didn’t even enter the Top 50. So just quit hating cause we all know Mariah’s going to have a #1 album and #1 Single sooner or later if Cher can still get hit’s Mariah at 33 can get them.
YOU KNOW, IT’S NOT EVEN WORTH IT TRYING TO EXPLAIN SOMETHING TO PEOPLE WHOSE “NOODLE” DON’T WORK/FUNCTION. THEY ARE GOING TO KEEP ON BASHING MARIAH BECAUSE THEY GET A KICK OUT OF IT KNOWING WE FANS GET UPSET, SO LAMBS PLEASE DON’T EVEN WASTE ENERGY GETTING UPSET, IS NOT WORTHY!!!!……… KEEP ON LOVING AND SUPPORTING MARIAH AND EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE…”I PROMISE”
Lol. The only chart that Mariah fans can bring up is the Club one. If you think Mariah is successful because she was on the Dance/Club Chart then all you Mariah fans must think Madonna is a God. Madonna has had by far more #1 hits on the Dance/Club Chart than any other artist. She’s had 30 in all. Three singles from ‘American Life’ already went to #1. Die Another Day, American Life and Hollywood. Madonna currently has two songs in the Top 20. Nobody Knows Me at #8 and Me Against The Music at #16. Judging from Madonna’s record on that chart both will probably make it to #1.
Actually any Billboard Chart is important or the wouldn’t be there. Plus you just made yourself look really dumb saying your not successful if you reach those Charts and then your bragging about Mariah’s History on them…HELLO anyone home.
People are so stupid, of course their gonna talk about someone who’s achieved so much success like Mariah, it’s just part of the business. Mariah knows most of it is true and she handles it with class and doesn’t take it seriously. People who say she’s over, I have some questions for you. If Mariah is so OVER, why is she currently on the BIGGEST and HIGHEST GROSSING tour of her career? Why is her NEW albums still selling MILLIONS? Why is her recent collaboration with Busta one of the biggest hits of the year? Why is her Christmas back in the Billboard 200 yet again, with NO promotion and YEARS after it’s release? You gotta love the Madonna fans, always putting Mariah down saying she’s a flop, when Madonna’s remix album isn’t even CLOSE to cracking the top 50, while Mariah’s entered the top half of the charts.
