A source close to the Grammy Awards show told The New York Post the producers – under pressure from CBS, which is airing the awards on Sunday at 8 p.m. – told Janet Jackson’s representatives her presence would overwhelm the telecast following the Super Bowl breast flashing incident. “Certainly you don’t want to reward her with exposure on the Grammys after she effectively pirated CBS’s air waves at the Super Bowl,” the source said. Grammy insiders say Jackson and Justin Timberlake were originally supposed to open the Grammy-cast with a surprise performance.
