Elbow frontman Guy Garvey tells The Glasgow Daily Record he’s no fan of Robbie Williams. “I love pop music if it is honest pop music but I can’t stand insincerity in music. I don’t believe Robbie Williams. He’s insipid,” Garvey complained. “I saw ‘Swing When You’re Winning’ when he was pretending he was fit to kiss a distant relative of Frank Sinatra’s backside. He did Sinatra covers wired to the moon, saying, ‘this is for you mum’. No it’s not. I hate him. He tries to come across as a lovely local lad. He’s probably one of those kids who was popular with girls at school, had shiny shoes and straight As but was unhappy when he left school.”
