ContactMusic.com reports that Guy Ritchie insists his much-maligned ‘Swept Away’, starring his wife Madonna, wasn’t a flop. “I don’t think it’s a great film but I don’t think it’s a bad film,” he said. “We were due, the pair of us, for something of a dousing. That project was unique on several levels. I don’t think my audience was interested in seeing a movie starring my wife and my wife’s audience wasn’t interested in seeing a movie directed by me. But one way or another, it made money.”
