Radio 1 reports Geri Halliwell’s spokesman Jonathan Hackford has denied reports she ditched her planned concerts in Australia over Kyle and Jackie O springing a Posh audio clip on her during an interview, “They’re two completely separate things. She was upset by the surprise that was sprung onto her by the radio station, but the reason she’s had to cancel is because her single ‘Calling’ was delayed.”

October 30, 2001 – Ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has dramatically pulled out of her Australian tour, claiming she was insulted by Melbourne radio station FOX FM’s Hot30.com. The station’s DJs Kyle and Jackie O. played her a pre-recorded question from rival Posh Spice simply asking her “Hi, how are you?” Rumba organizer Sean Pickwell said of the decision, “To be steaming over something so trivial for so long and then, this close to the event, pull out is a real slap in the face. Geri’s cancelling isn’t a war issue, it’s a fruity-cake issue.”

October 26, 2001 – Megastar reports that Geri Halliwell revealed in an online chat that she still is claiming her virginity saying, “It’s not some villanous (sic) disease that you’ve got to get rid of as soon as possible. Feel proud to be a virgin – I am!” Geri also commented on her eating disorder during the chat advising against trying to diet, “I think the healthiest thing to do is not to diet, just try and eat healthily, it’s balance and that’s the hardest thing to achieve, especially in this day and age.”

October 22, 2001 – According to the Mirror, Geri Halliwell claims yoga has saved her life. An expert told the tabloid, “Crucially, it has freed her from the destructive cycle of excessive dieting, calming her mind and allowing her to eat the food she used to fear, even chips.”
