Nielsen reports that ratings for Sunday’s new episode of ‘Hannah Montana’ fell 24% from the previous new episode aired two months ago. This was the first new show since the show’s star Miley Cyrus was involved in the Vanity Fair backless photo uproar, where many parents voiced concern about the 15-year-old’s judgement. A total of 3.1 million viewers tuned in on Sunday, and the New York Daily News adds that the reruns of the Disney Channel show have been in decline recently as well. Though ratings for the past two years have been high for the show, normally programming aimed at kids has an 18 month shelf life, indicating that ‘Hannah Montana’ is poised to see its audience fade.
