March 23, 2007 – Highlights of Avril’s interview with Jane magazine are available at UsWeekly.com, where the singer discussed her husband Deryck Whibley of Sum 41’s past drug use. “He doesn’t do drugs,” Lavigne said. “Clearly, he used to, because he talked about it, but I wouldn’t be with someone who did, and I made that very clear to him when we first started dating. I’ve never done coke in my life, and I’m proud of that. Oh my god! I could never! I am 100 percent against drugs.” As for whether she gets jealous of her hubby’s groupies, the 22-year-old responded, “No, we have a really good, strong relationship. There’s a lot of trust. March 11, 2007 – The Record spoke with Avril’s manager Terry McBride about the singer’s move to record her new single ‘Girlfriend’ in eight different languages, including Mandarin and Japanese for her largest fan base in Asia. “Her consumption is greater in Asia than what it is in all of the Western Hemisphere combined,” McBride explained. “And some of those cities outweigh some of the biggest countries as far as the demand of consumption.”

Avril Lavigne Laughs Off Moody Teen Years
March 5, 2007 – ContactMusic.com reports Avril now looks back at her moody teenage years and laughs. “When I look back now all I can think is, ‘God, I was such a sh**’. I was such a tomboy, running around, getting in fights, hanging out with guys,” the 22-year-old explained. “In all my interviews I would have my head down and moodily just grunt an answer. I look back and laugh now as I realize how much I’ve grown up. But that was my style back then, that was me.”
