Hard-Fi Singer Backs Sugababes & Girls Aloud For Brits

ContactMusic.com reports that Hard-Fi singer Richard Archer is having a tough time understanding why Sugababes and Girls Aloud failed to be nominated in the Best Pop Act category. “I’m not really a pop fan but when it’s done right it’s good,” he explained. “Girls Aloud and Sugababes both do it well so it’s a bit of a surprise they aren’t in the pop act selection when [James] Blunt and [Katie] Melua are. They should be. How they put the nominations together is a bit of a mystery. We’re up for Best Group but not Breakthrough Act, when last year ['05] was the one in which we actually broke through.”
