HarperCollins Was Happy With Mariah Carey Book Proposal

Maureen O’Brien of HarperCollins spoke with Liz Smith of The New York Post about why a book deal with was nixed. O’Brien says she and her publisher, Michael Morrison, had absolutely no qualms about the quality of what Mariah was peddling. “Her book proposal was absolutely fantastic,” she said. “We were enthusiastic and remained so until [Carey’s new manager Benny] Medina stepped in two weeks after the deal was struck and pulled the plug.”

    I knew it, Why would anyone turn down Mariah I mean come on. Of course the media jumped on the Story about them turning her down. Now that we find out that was never the case I bet them media won’t say a word about it. I noticed they only report new’s about Mariah when it’s bad New’s they never report the good stuff.

    Oh I know like her most critically acclaimed tour of her Career. Or her latest album “Charmbracelet” giving her, her second biggest opening week sale’s ever. Or her #1 Dance Remix of “Through The Rain” etc. etc.
