The New York Daily News reports toy giant Hasbro scrapped plans for a new line of dolls based on the Pussycat Dolls on Wednesday after coming under mounting pressure from a grass-roots parents protest. “Parents were instantly upset about it,” said Josh Golin of the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood, which helped spearhead the backlash. “They’re scantily clad. Their lyrics are sexual,” Golin added.
