Haven’t I Heard This Before?

Tamar Spina of Intouch Magazine shared her thoughts on Mariah Carey. She writes, “While I have always agreed that Mariah Carey has a huge talent with her five octave range that rivals many vocalists I have never found her to be particularly special. Yes, she is a stunningly beautifully woman, yes, when she sings normally her voice is beautiful but mostly I find that she stays within the confines of very boring ballads and strange (seemingly made-up) note ranges in very standard pop format songs. It’s a shame because I think with the right music she would find a much wider audience beyond the teenage girls that worship her and their male counterparts who, we can agree, are there for more than the music.”
