Hilary Duff checked in with fans on her blog over at KOL earlier today. “So sorry I missed blogging last week,” Duff writes. “The holidays got hectic even though I was off from work. Sometimes vacation time can get busier than work time. I was cooking and shopping and visiting family and had a wonderful time. My New Years was soooo much fun and didn’t seem like work. I co-hosted Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Years Eve Celebration with Ryan Seacrest and a host of talented singers and performers! I am so excited that I am getting ahead of myself. The night was awesome. Ryan Seacrest made everything really exciting. Dick Clark is a very classy man. Thousands of people were rocking out, dancing and having a ball. I represented the West Coast crowd in LA, while Ryan was simultaneously in NY representing the East Coast. New York’s crowd was energetic and fun but I heard it was freezing there. It was nice and brisk in California and our crowd was the best! The Pussycat Dolls put on an amazing performance and Sean Paul kicked it! I got to perform three songs: ‘Beat of My Heart’, ‘Wake Up’ and ‘Come Clean’. My stylist Deb Waknin got me this cool Fendi white dress with a black hat for my performance. It was off the hook! I think it looked kind of Gwen Stefani-ish. At one point Ryan was so hyped, I thought he was going to bust out and sing a song. HA! Overall everyone was happy to bring in 2006 and there was peace all around. No one became disorderly. There was just a bunch of people having fun and bringing in the New Year with a blast! I had fun and hope that you enjoyed.”
