Holly Palmer posted a message to fans on her official journal on May 6th, revealing that she had mutually ended her contract with Warner Brothers after her album release date of February 24th fizzled. Palmer, who toured with Enrique Iglesias earlier this year, told fans: “As you can see – things were petty dark and depressed around here for the last month or so. I had to finally admit to myself that I made the same mistake twice. Once, okay – cause you always learn something. But two times – SUCKS! Two times I formed a partnership with Warner Brothers and two times became overwhelmed by the lethargy there. The ins and outs of this boring story are not as simple as I’m making it seem. There were different people involved over there and I was a different person, the music I was making was different etc. In fact, not much was the same about the two situations except that both serve to dispel the myth of corporate music making machines. But, that is now the past. today is a magic day. The big news is, I’m out of there…! We reached a mutually happy deal and I signed the papers last week. I feel like a huge cloud has lifted. Many good things have happened almost since the moment the deal was done.” Read more.
