How Avril Lavigne Will Change The World

Teen People caught up with 20 teens who will change the world, including Avril Lavigne. Asked what she has been doing to create that change, Lavigne said, “I work with War Child Canada to raise awareness about the plight of war-affected children. The organization recenlty made a CD called ‘Peace Songs-Moby’. David Bowie and other artists are on it. I sang ‘Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door’. The proceeds will go to helping girls in Uganda record from war and rape, and to rebuild Iraqi schools.” She added, “I hope my involvement will pique people’s interest in this cause. Everyone can make a difference.”
