I was able to peak into the crack in the door with my video camera. I didn’t see the whole thing because I was kicked out by security. Madonna was barely there until the last part and her vocals were prerecorded so they could concentrate on the video and dancers. I was both fascinated and disgusted at the same time.
I was fascinated because:
-She actually sings “Material Girl.”
-Huge anti-Bush message. You can see his face and hear him lie about the war
-pictures of starving kids during “Imagine.” Shocking and very artistic.
-Excellent rocking version of Burning Up
-A picture of Jesus hanging on the cross during “Mother and Father,” in which Madonna sings higher than her range usually allows.
Ok..Here’s the disgusting part. Apparently, she’s not through preaching the Kaballah. There was a video with a lot of Hebrew lettering, and then a video promoting spirituality for kids. I really wanted to throw up and sell my ticket for tonight when seeing this….but the rest looked so good that I’ll still go. I will have a full report on the show later.
