We’ll just have to see how this turns out. Most artists on major labels get screwed anyway when it comes to the revenue. I know that the only artist that generally do well on J Records are the artists with “created buzz” (Maroon 5, Alicia Keys, etc). Yeah, he has a deal somewhat “outside” American Idol…BUT the thing is that he’s still inside the “Idol Matrix” so to speak through Clive Davis. Two American Idols are on J Records already (Fantasia,Ruben Studdard), on top of that Clive Davis is a Sony-BMG chairperson, so Mario V is connected to even more American Idol singers on RCA (Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, Bo Bice). So in my eyes he really didn’t break apart that much from the other American Idol heads; he’s still in the same pond.

Well, I hope he does well. I think he’s hot and he gives me goosebumps when he sings…Who cares if he’s gay? If the kid can sing he should have a chance to prove himself. I’m excited.
