Idol Loser Darius Danesh Amazed He’s Topping Charts

The Sun spoke with Pop Idol loser Darius Danesh on news that his self-penned track ‘Colourblind’ is almost certain to hit the top of the charts on Sunday, beating out Britney Spears and George Michael. “If you had said to me that one day I would be beating Britney and George in a chart battle I would never have believed it,” he admitted. “It’s great to get this response from the public. It means a lot. But I am not taking anything for granted – look at how everyone thought Gareth was going to win Pop Idol and then Will Young came in at the last moment. But whatever happens, I will be celebrating.”
