Officials at both Fox and the National Football League say it’s way too early to speculate about entertainment at next year’s Super Bowl, but according to several published reports, the idea of an ‘American Idol’ halftime show seems like a slam dunk, reports The New York Post. “First and foremost it’s always been the NFL’s decision, it always has been,” a Fox Sports spokesman said. An NFL spokesman said the idea for an ‘Idol’ themed halftime show is “beyond premature.”
