Jeff Magill of icNorthernIreland shared his thoughts on Pink as the singer sets to perform at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on Saturday. Magill says that the singer’s “new look and sound was a success and Pink was hailed as a brave pop star who wasn’t afraid to take chances and who, unlike the likes of Britney and Beyonce, was keen to put attitude before aesthetics.” But, he added, “When it comes to changes in music, image and attitude, we have seen it all before. Pink hasn’t broken down any doors to become a successful solo artist – the likes of Tina Turner, Janet Jackson and, more significantly, Madonna, had already opened those doors for her. The truth is, in the current world of beautiful Britneys, Beyonces and manufactured drivel, it isn’t that hard to be different.”
