Gary Graff of The Cleveland Plain Dealer caught up with *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake to ask the singer about his tour swinging through club- and theater-size venues. “They’re just more intimate,” Timberlake explained. “It’s got more of a storyteller vibe. It gives people an opportunity to see how the songs took form in the studio, ’cause the way we did it was we’d come up with the groove and then just start writing the song… and I think that’s what the club show brings forth.”

Basically he can’t sell out arenas by himself. so he goes with the “small, intimate” excuse
I would love to go. I’ve seen clips on TV of these club concerts and they seem pretty cool. It’s much more about the music, rather then the dancing which I respect.
A lot of artists are performing at more of the smaller venues. If you’ve ever been to a concert at a theatre or club, you know how much better it is compared to an arena. You don’t have to be right near the stage to see the artist.
You wish. have you even been to a Justin concert? no. so how would you know? Justin sells out arenas.. and even then people are mad that they couldn’t get tickets.
I saw Justin at the Fleet Center (a big arena) back in August and then right after I saw him in a club (very small place) and I have to say I liked the club a lot better….because it was smaller, more intimate, I was much closer to him, he was more into the music than the dancing (even though he did free style a lot especially with the Black Eyed Peas), he was himself and was very different from what you usually see him as…hes great!
That is way I like Justin Timberlake better than Nick Carter because he is talented and he is all about the music.
It wasn’t Nick’s fault his album was pulled. I agree Justified was successful but hosting the MTV Movie Awards isn’t an achievement. As for hosting SNL, he did a great job, but still Halle and Brit had higher ratings. (that’s sad being JT did better than Halle) As for the collaborations, well, the Black-Eyed Peas are one-hit wonders and Pharrell already said JT’s songs were originally for Michael Jackson. He got sloppy seconds.
