Iowa Mother, Son Killed After Attending Duff Concert In Winnipeg

Grand Forks Herald reports that Heather Knust, 32, and Cody Halama, 12, both of Indianola, Iowa, were killed early Monday (January 16) after attending a Hilary Duff concert in Winnipeg, Ontario on Sunday, when their Dodge Neon apparently was clipped by one semi, then struck from behind by another semi and crushed. The accident happened four miles north of Grand Forks near the North Washington exit. Halama’s aunt Lisa Stanbary said from Cody was a “huge” Hilary Duff fan and was excited to see her perform for the first time.
