Irish Immigrant Damien Leith Wins ‘Australian Idol’

Damien Leith, who despite being originally from Ireland was declared the newest ‘Australian Idol’ winner, and runner-up Jessica Mauboy were joined by past ‘Idol’ stars Anthony Callea, Casey Donovan, Courtney Act, Guy Sebastian, and Paulini, as well as Kid Courageous, Lisa Origlasso of The Veronicas at the show’s finale broadcast on Sunday (November 26) at Sydney Opera House.
