Is Avril Lavigne The Real Deal?

Caroline Regidor of the Daily Telegraph stacked up Avril Lavigne against her pop competition, including Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Aussies Kylie Minogue and Holly Valance. She says “on the musical test, against the other pop stars, Avril seems to be a real musician.” As for the look, “Avril’s style at least sets her apart from the other pop stars because she has so far resisted the bare flesh approach.” And the attitude? “Unlike the other pop stars who shine in front of the camera with their eager to please smiles, Lavigne doesn’t put on the star quality for the media.”
