Entertainment writers are debating the longevity of Britney Spears to Rachel Leibrock of Scripps-McClatchy Western Service. Entertainment Weekly music writer David Browne commented, “Now that the teen-pop boom has peaked, Britney has peaked along with it. The kind of music that her fans are listening to now is different. They want something that’s harder. They want a rocker-chick type like Avril Lavigne or Pink – however calculated their images might be.” Patty Adams, senior entertainment editor at YM magazine countered, “You can never count Britney Spears out – she’s sold millions of albums, and she’s already (started) to reinvent herself.”
