Industry insiders are weighing in on Christina Aguilera’s dramatic image change and how it may affect her music career, and it seems most seem to view her raunchy rebirth as a negative. “Adolescent hormonal boys are watching it, sure,” said one exec to the New York Post. “But what about the 13-year-old girl whose parents won’t buy it?” As for Aguilera’s bragging of her clitoral piercing, a record honcho guessed, “I don’t think anybody at her label is happy about something like that.” It seems Aguilera is difficult for RCA to control though, as a source revealed, “It’s my way or the highway with her,” noting that she had already fired former manager Steve Kurtz.
