J. Roman checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace on Monday (December 29), with the singer and B96 DJ offering a year in review. The Chicago native tells readers:
So before I started writing this blog, I went back and read the blog I posted on Jan. 1, 2008. I couldn’t have been more optimistic at that time: I had just signed an exciting new record deal, was in a great relationship & had a VERY healthy family. Well thankfully, the only one of those three things that is still true 2day is the MOST important one!!! Let’s discuss…
I truly believe the record label I signed with had nothing but the best intentions for me & my career. I brought my single “Slow Jam Mixtape” to them, and I believe they made a great song even better by adding my labelmates at the time Colorblind to it. Unfortunately, the plan to release my song to radio kept getting pushed back again & again. From my standpoint, I just couldn’t wait another second to release this song that I have been hyping up 4ever… so luckily for me, we ended things VERY peacefully! I will always be thankful to them for giving me my first music video… it was an experience that I will NEVER 4get & I couldn’t be more proud of how it came out!!! I truly wish Evident Music Group & Colorblind nothing but the best in 2009…
