Fans of Michael Jackson are calling for a boycott of NBC following the networks airing of a Robert Smigel cartoon lampooning the sexual charges that haunt the singer (see earlier story for transcript of skit). The petition states, “This petition will be brought to NBC’s attention. NBC will hopefully make some sort of apology to Michael, his family, and his fans, who are all offended and hurt by NBC’s actions. If NBC refuses to make an apology, the petition will continue to be circulated and before Sweeps, NBC will be contacted again. If NBC still refuses to apologize, signers of this petition will start boycotting NBC during Sweeps until NBC apologizes for its actions.” Read more.
