Norman Kelley of Village Voice has a great profile of the Michael Jackson and Rev Al Sharpton attack of the music business, and what effect, if any, it will have. “Most knowledgeable people, in and outside the music biz, don’t see the Jackson initiative as altering the music industry,” Kelley writes. “Or providing anything useful to musicians at the bottom or raising legitimate issues of concern to all recording artists.”
