Janet Jackson Debuts At #2 On Billboard

According to Billboard.com, ‘Damita Jo’ has debuted at #2 on The Billboard 200, selling 381,000 copies in its first week. Janet’s latest album missed the top spot to Usher’s ‘Confessions’, which during its second week sold 486,000 copies. It is her second highest first week sales ever, next to 2001’s ‘All for You’, which opened with first week sales of 605,000 copies and has sold 3 million to date. ‘Damita Jo’ is Janet’s first studio album not to debut at #1 since 1989’s ‘Rhythm Nation 1814′.
