A fan on Christina Aguilera’s forum at LiveDaily.com reports that Janet Jackson was just on KISS FM 103.7 in Milwaukee where she defended the singers like Aguilera who wear nothing but a thong to sell records. Asked if she laughs when she sees trashy singers like Aguilera, Janet responded, “No. Not at all. Music is about expression and transition. Can I really laugh or pass negative energy to someone expressing themselves?”

“Selling body just to sell is just pathetic.” Yes it is…but what else is new? In commercials, don’t we always see something as simple as shampoo being an imitation of sex? Don’t we see super models modeling thongs and bikinis to sell with sex? Don’t we see artists like Britney Spears, J.Lo, Beyonce, Xtina, Jessica Simpson, and almost every female R&B and pop artists using their bodies to EXPRESS THEMSELVES while selling records? Besides, not every single artists that tries to use sex to sell records actually becomes successful…*cough* heard of Willa Ford? So it’s not like every famous person that uses sex sells anything at all…another example *cough* Ben and Jen in Gigli… Besides, don’t you notice that about 85% (or more) of every commercial, movie, TV show, entertainment news, and magazine in America is selling sex for money and attention. America is a very sex-image hungry country…almost everything is representing sex, sex, and more sex…what else is new?
