The Associated Press reports piercing shops and distributors around the country are reporting a surge of interest in nipple piercing and adornments since Janet Jackson’s breast-revealing performance at the Super Bowl halftime show last weekend. On Hollywood Boulevard, Jason Price of Tattoo Zone said more than 20 people including parents asked about the procedure this past week, twice as many as usual. “It’s definitely opened a market,” he said Friday. “Like the Pamela Anderson barbed wire tattoos.”
