WBLS reports Janet Jackson’s HBO special on Sunday brought in record numbers for the radio station, which simulcast the concert Sunday night. 746,000 New Yorkers tuned into to the station while another 59,000 tuned into the station’s website stream. Radio station programmer Vince Brown said “Only Janet can pull in these kind of listeners, she had everyone dancing to her rhythm nation Sunday night, she proves year after year why she is America’s #1 music star.”
