Janet Jackson Wins Arist Achievement Award
Janet Jackson picked up the Artist Achievement Award Tuesday night at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. In accepting the award for being one of a select few artists who have redefined the landscape of popular music, Janet said, “Guys, thank you so much. I’m so — I love you too. I’m truly honored to be recognized for doing that which I love. My very first performance ever was actually here at the age of 7 in Vegas at the M.G.M. Grand. I never dreamed that all these years later, I would be back here to receive such an honor. I’m grateful to Billboard, to all the fans, and especially God for making this possible. Thank you so much. I love you. Thank you.”
