Janet Jackson Wins Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist

Janet Jackson won the Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist award at Wednesday’s American Music Awards. Janet accepted the award live via satellite from Japan, where she told the audience in Los Angeles, “I’m very excited. Thank you so much. This has been such a wonderful year for me. And I’m very grateful for those who have helped to make it possible. Thank you, God. Thanks to Dick Clark. And the AMA’s and a special thanks to all the fans. Thank you so very much.” Janet also introduced Lenny Kravitz earlier in the show.
