Jay Leno On Michael Jackson’s Money Problems

Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Wednesday night, “Well, an accountant who is a prosecution witness in the Michael Jackson trial testified that Michael Jackson had serious financial problems. You hear this today? This is unbelievable. The accountant says Michael spends $20 million to $30 million a year more than he takes in. Or, as the government calls that, Social Security. … Isn’t that amazing? And they say Jackson is constantly hounded by creditors. Which has got to be tough for Jackson. I mean, pretending to be someone else when a creditor calls. How does Michael — [In high-pitched voice] ‘What? No, Michael’s not here. I don’t know where he is. I’ll have him call you when he gets in. I haven’t seen him.’ … Well, you know what’s interesting? Did you see the New York Post had this today. And a lot of people are talking about it. Michael showed up in court with a lace-front fake hairpiece. Like, hair glued in or something. Clever strategy. See, each day, Michael comes to court with a new fake body part. See, this way — this way, at end of the trial, if they try to put him in jail, it’s not really him.”
